Golf Operations

Golf Operations positions are available at South Essex Golf Club.

Positions include:

Golf Steward,

Marshal, Starter,

Range Co-ordinator,

Retail and Check-in Assistant

A member of the golf operations staff may be asked to undertake all or any of these positions at any time.

Applicants will need to have the following attributes:

 Versatile and flexible

 Customer service driven.
 Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
 Team player.
Work with initiative.
Possess a mature and responsible outlook.
Willing to work outside in all conditions as and when required.
Have an interest in and knowledge of golf.

Both part-time and full-time positions are available.  Applicants must be prepared to work early mornings/evenings/weekends.

Salary commensurate with experience. 

Training will be provided.

Greenkeeping

South Essex Golf Club seek to appoint a hard-working, enthusiastic Greenkeeper.

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to be part of an up-and-coming, forward-thinking, friendly Golf Club, assisting the Course Manager and Greenkeeping Team in producing high-standard playing surfaces for our members and guests.

What we require:

Full Driving Licence
Minimum 2 years green keeping experience
Experience operating and maintaining modern turf grass machinery
The ability to work well in a team and use initiative.
Good time management
Positive attitude
High attention to detail

Desired:

Level 2 in Sports Turf Greenkeeping
Spraying certificates
Chainsaw license
First Aid
Knowledge of irrigation systems
Keen interest and understanding of Golf
